Who thinks of the words for the anti-spam code?
I have visions of a little man wearing an anorak and fingerless mittens, hunched over a desk on the very VERY top floor of a city office block.
Sandwiches and a hot thermos by his side to see him through the long working day.
Dictionary in hand, he meticulously checks every word to make certain it's not a "real" one.
Does he ever mistakenly make a real one? In any language?
Each day he has to write enough words to last us all through the night, and next morning he's back at his desk to start again- no holidays, no sick leave, just an eternal list of un-words.
Gronk. . .frunget. . .halsedab. . .shemoc.
You'd never want to play scrabble with him would you?

p.s. . .the best one for me was. . .bunces :)))

Have you ever had the slightly freaky experience whereby the word verification issues a word too near to the subject matter you were commenting on? For example: re the Gypsy Caravan one you might have got "Vardo"....

Sometimes I have got one that was very close to the subject matter and it almost made me think someone COULD be sitting there playing with minds........

Truth to tell here is that I'm trying to do my end-of-year accounts and wandering off on ANY tangent to avoid buckling down to the task in hand.
I even tidied the cutlery drawer!
And now it's sunny outside. . .

hahaha I love the way you describe that little man hunched over that typewriter...I never thought of that and it is a perfect description now that I think about it. I am so pleased you like my phrases...you can't steal them...they are yours to use, my friend!
I just read your comment above...I do the same things..tidying the cutlery drawer in avoidance..you make me laugh! xx

They remind me of those strange words they used to have on that quiz programme(name escapes me this will bother me to death now) anybody else remember it? where each team member had to give a meaning to an odd word, but only one was the correct meaning and the other team had to guess who was telling the truth.Gosh I must be getting old!

Procrastination is a lovely word....mind you a nice tidy cutlery drawer is something to be proud of.
Hope you enjoyed your glass of wine - or did you make it two.
