Sleeping in the rain

If you had the choice of a plump feather cushion,
comfortably positioned out of draughts, and with
a "birds-eye" view of  the garden. . .

or another velvet covered pad,
purposefully placed on the sofa for YOUR benefit only. . .

or a VERY snugly fleecy blanket in front of the fire
(brought back from America, especially for you)

why oh why would you choose to curl up outdoors
on a bed of twigs and ivy,
in the rain??
can you see the drizzle settled on her coat!

Hi dear, tell me about sleeping in the rain. Thank god we had our dry camper :D. We also had some great weather tough and had a lovely time. Glad to see your blog again, have a lot of catching up to do. Have a happy, happy SUNday. XX

Cats are funny aren't they! Who could ever read their minds! I bought a lovely bed for one of my cats to curl up in snuggly but he still prefers his old tatty cardboard box! so happy to have come across your Blog. I love Dorset, spending my happy times in Motcombe, near Gillingham & Shaftesbury at my Granny's home. Glad to see your horse is out and about in the field, hope he continues to improve. Catherine x

I suspect she is just showing her independence.

Cats are definitely odd creatures. Our Frederick would rather have a box of papers to curl up in than a nice prepared bed. He would not go for sleeping in the rain though.

Have a very nice Sunday.

Just to prove that cats don't conform, of course!

Our moggies are funny, aren't they? That is unusual, though, mine can't stand being wet.

One can never explain those "tortitude" girls. They have little odd mindful ways about them. Give that little moisture laden girl a hug and kiss for me!

Oh, what a sweetie! All of those cushions look cosy to me!

Because she's a cat....and you can't tell a cat what to do...or where to sleep!!

That's why we love them...their independence and knowing their own minds.
