Kit the cat

Kit, taking a moment to enjoy the autumn evening sun on the front porch

Although she may only be a farm cat of humble origins (mother was something of a tart and father the local Lothario- he didn't stick around) somehow she knows that the Egyptians worshipped their cats. . .and believes in reminding us at every opportunity!

"I love my cats because I love my home, and little by little they become its visible soul."

- Jean Cocteau

Oh I love cats, collecting embroidered aprons and samplers and just about anything vintage. Your blog is very pretty.

Well, I can see why she needs to be worshipped - she looks very goddess like in your photos!

Kit has a beautiful coat - the Tart and Lothario must have been pretty and handsome! Does she get on well with the chickens?

I have two dogs and one cat and while I spoil all three of them, I have to admit I let the cat get away with more. He's just so darn cute! Love YOUR pretty kitty, too!

Lovely Kit. I have two humble cats, from the animal shelter and they are the soul of our home. The day just isn't right without a snuggle.

Love your flowery drawers as well ! I have got a cheapo one like that which holds all my gift wrap etc

Kit is so beautiful, but I guess she already knows that. The quote by Jean Cateau, caught in my throat...how true it is.

If you missed my special post on Estorbo the cat, you must check him out. Kit may like him and there would be 'no kittens' or any of that sort of hanky panky (not that Estorbo wouldn't if he could).

Thanks for sharing your Kit with us. Have a great day.

Oh my gosh, what a wonderful friend you are. Two posts just for me!! I'm sure Kit the Cat was posted just for me!! She looks just like Kitton the Cat that was mine! I'll make a post about Kitton for you and you'll be able to compare how similar they look...Kit and Keet! She's been gone a year as of Oct 29 and I still can't believe it! But your Kit helps me fill the gap!

I adore cats, sadly, we only have two left, Klaus died in April he was 19 and Clyde died in July he was 22!! Only Hattie and Scamp are left now and are eleven and 18 respectively. We still have five very naughty Pugs though!! My friends Aunt always used to say 'Don't trust anyone that doesn't like cats'. Have a lovely weekend.
