Winging it?

Somewhere in the depths of my pre-Christmas-fuzzy-brain (ok, I can't blame ALL the fuzz on Christmas) I remember glancing at an article in the paper about the surprising number of people recognising Guardian Angels.
I don't have a rock of organised religion; simply acknowledging and appreciating the miracles of everyday life is for me, a better vehicle to convey thanks to a Higher Being, but I know that when I've asked, assistance has come from somewhere I can't explain.

At first I thought it was my mum, but lately I've not been so sure.
Neither Clarence from It's a Wonderful Life, an aged gent enveloped in feathery white wings nor a nun-like vision bathed in twilight glow quite fit this helping hand, so maybe I'm not supposed to see, just know?

My earthy (some would say staid) star-sign ensures a practical no-nonsense approach, so "coming out" on the angel front is quite trepidatious. . .but if the newspaper is to be believed (!) I can't be the only one?

For fear of being know as a fruit and nutcase I don't go round telling people I believe in Angels, but I do. I also believe that the more you embrace them, the more they embrace you x

Oh honey, I believe in Angels and all kinds of other things that most "normal" people look cross eyed at. Don't worry. It makes that days a little easier to get through.

Elaine - interestingly this post resonates with you asking to be remembered to my mother. Thankfully she is well at the moment. In fact I would think that she could offer you something regarding this post. I will email you. Cx

You are not alone. In more ways than one!
I'm holding my hand up to believing in guardian angels. There are more things in heaven and earth... xx

Elaine I firmly believe that we have someone that walks alongside us through this life guiding us - angel or whatever you want to call them.
Hope you had a good Christmas

So elegantly put, Elaine about the vehicle to a higher being...very well put. It is amazing to hear of people seeing and searching for their guardian angels or whatever they are called. I am a are a Capricorn.figures why we get on so well..I have so many Capricorns around me it is unbelieveable...but it is not unusual for us Staid people to see and or feel this energy. Probably is your mother, especially since you thought right away of her. I think we get to this age and things are revealed to us because we are Aware! Love to Kit!

I put my hand up too, I believe they 'walk amongst us' as well.
When you are aware, you can see and feel them everywhere can't you.

I inherited a strong belief in angels from my mother - I don't go around talking about it but she and several members of her family were absolutely convince. I know there have been times when I've had help. I find it a rather comforting thought, though, don't you.

I belive completely in Guardian Angels, mainly because I have one that is always there for me when LH is not. It, (I do not know if it is a he or she, the voice is neutral) entrusts him completely with my care and only steps in when he is not around.

Now who sounds mad!!

How I can empathise with you on this one. I like you tend to think its my mum, but whoever it is I am so thankful at times not only for unexpected help, but for being able to feel its presence. I don't try to analyse, I just am so thankful that someone is ' looking over me'.

I'm afraid to drive, but I'm lucky that my husband is at home and he doesn't mind driving on those icy roads.
Thanks for your lovely comment, Elaine, I also enjoy visiting your blog, and of course Hennypenny's blog too !
I do believe in guardian angels and that they are there when you need them.
Wish you a Happy New Year,

Me too! (Even before I was on medication.) What's spooky is that I'm a CAPRICORN too, with many other Capricorns around me. I loved the seagull pic. I have had loads of gulls flying over my garden during the recent cold weather. Nice to think they might all be angels. Speaking of star signs, I hope you'll check out my horoscope predictions on my blog. We Capricorns are due a great 2011. Happy New Year! :O) SueXXX
