a TOTALLY unselfish act :)

ok, so here's the thing. . .

you have a friend, a very good friend,
and she's feeling a bit miz
with a cold and stuff

So you bake her a cheer-up apple crumble
even though she DOES SAY she's lost her sense of taste
and you DO KNOW she's on a post-Christmas diet

You take it out of the oven and put it on the dresser
You go to the fridge to get some lunch
but
You didn't go shopping yesterday

You look at the piece of toast
no marmite
no cheese
no peanut butter
no tahini

It was a thoughtful thing I did wasn't it?
A completely selfless act of kindness

She'd thank me if she knew wouldn't she?

But I'm FAR too modest to ever tell her
aren't I?

I just can't stop laughing! How very nice of you to watch her waistline for her. She'll love you for it really.

And she really would not have appreciated how obviously delicious it was anyway!! You have so made my day, I can't stop smiling. Even housework doesn't seem so boring now (well that's a bit of an exaggeration)
Love the new photo!

Well if she couldn't have TASTED it, it would have been cruel to taunt her with it really, wouldn't it? So really you've done her a service haven't you? Totally LOL though, thanks for that.

I would have definitely done the same thing Elaine, you had to taste it to see if it was Ok to give to her? Thank you for making me laugh, and love the piece you have done about me for Vintage at the Village Hall.

I think you did the right thing. I know your friend greatly appreciated that the calories are making jiggly places on you and not her :0 Have a wonderful weekend!

Ha, ha, you are a good friend! How kind to rethink it the way you did..You knew that if you took it to her you would be tempting her to go off the diet, so you took care of it so there is no chance of harm coming to her...yes, that's why you had to eat it.

Have a good weekend.

I would not have been this honest, just made her another in the morning. Were you lucky enough to find cream in the fridge if not cheese? Jane xx

What a friend, INDEED! By the way, I love Apple Crumble...you will be jealous of her though and shamed of your act of kindness when she is svelte in a couple months! hahaha...just kidding. I could eat the whole thing too and anyway, she wouldn't have been able to taste it. Bake her one when she is better.

Jil broke her pink yesterday while riding Promiss. After getting braces and flue it was the last thing she could use (and mummy too).It was just her bad luck week.
Have a happy Sunday.
