rainy day giveaway :))

are we a tad fed-up with such a lot of rain in June?
Yes!
do we ever need an excuse for a Giveaway?
Nah!
shall we cheer ourselves up?
You Bet!

Last year I had an un-accustomed attack of craftingness
and when Shirley sent me a lovely batch of
Vintage French faded fabric scraps
I made them up into shoulder-tote bags
for girlie Christmas presents.

Clearing out the linen cupboard yesterday (rainy-day job)
I found this last bag tucked away. . .

It's lovely to give
it's lovely to receive

It's always appreciated if you want to join my other followers
or put the Giveaway link on your own blog
but this Giveaway is open to everyone,
and I'm more than happy to send Overseas.

Either leave a comment below or email me directly if Blogger is still
being difficult, and say what your
favourite and least favourite Rainy Day jobs are.

The winner will be drawn out of this very bag
next Friday 24th June
by which time the
SUN WILL BE SHINING AGAIN!!

Actually we haven't had enough rain yet!!! the garden still needs more!
I always sew when it's raining (my favourite!) or tackle the ironing (least favourite!)

Very worried about forecast of "persistent" rain this weekend as we're going camping! Oh dear.

Least favourite: cleaning; favourite at the moment: knitting squares for a patchwork blanket.

Beautiful giveaway, thank you.

Gorgeous bag. I'm not talented in the sewing department I'm afraid.
Anyway, least favourite ..anything to do with housework, the rain is bad enough but housework too???
Favourite...reading blogs, reading a book, or 'sampling' homemade wine.

My favourite rainy day jobs are knitting squares for my granny blanket, curling up with a fantastic book, and tidying around the house (I know that last one sounds a bit mad but I love pottering and tidying up till everything looks lovely). My least favourite rainy day jobs are cleaning the kitchen floor! Thank you for teh chance to win, bit hugs, Em x

Always want to bake on rainy days. It's not a job as such, but something that just 'goes' with rainy days (and Mondays!).
Least favourite is putting out the bins. The rain has always puddled on the lids and I forget this and tip the bin to wheel it out and get soaked. xx

I know it sounds crazy but I am relieved to see the rain. I have just got back from the USA where the temperature hit the high 90's with high humidity so this weather is lovely and refreshing.

Favourite thing to do when raining curl up with a good book or DVD under a blanket with a cuppa (and a couple of biscuits) and least favourite thing to do is clean out the kitchen cupboards (which reminds me they really do need looking at!!!)

Lovely bag by the way you clever thing

The weather is so depressing especially when it means the weekend is here and probably all the boot sales will be rained off again. I would love to enter your giveaway, the bag is lovely.

A lovely bag. Please can I enter your giveaway? I quite like ironing or watching a good film or tennis somewhere sunny when its raining. My least fave thing to do in the rain is tidying out my wardrobe. It is a ghastly thing to have to do! Oh, and sorting out the book case too! I just read through all those books we've kept since I don't know when. Ann x

What a lovely bag giveaway :o)

OK. If it's 'warm' when it's raining, one of my favourite jobs is going in the garden and moving all the pots of plants out in the rain to have a nice soak..you can just hear them sighing..;O)

One of my least favourite is doing the rubbish for the bin men in the rain! It always makes the job horrible :(

Have a lovely weekend Elaine. Hope you're all fine and dandy over there :o) xxxOOO

have to admit that I love the rain! especially when there's a good old vintage film to watch...preferably something with Gregory Peck in it. so that's my most favourite "job".

worst job, probably shopping...for anything.

Hope I win!!! Thank you Elaine, have a great weekend, Lucyxx

This is a beautiful bag. Thank you for sharing. For rainy days I only want to read though work does call. But then I start reading the blogs!

Hi!
Thats a lovely bag - what a great way to cheer everyone up! I spent all day yesterday baking (hopefully yummy)cakes for a tea party I am holding on sunday for my grandaughters' birthdays (one on sunday age 3 and one on friday age 7). I'm hoping the sun will grace us once again on that day as a garden party would be lovely - I'm going to get out all my pretty vintage china! But hey, if not it'll still be lovely indoors and another rainy day won't be wasted!

On a rainy day I'm very lucky, I can either be in the house or I can carry on tending my veggies but in the polytunnel.

With the radio on and the dogs curled up in the corners it's a real home from home and I get on with all those little jobs that you can't do when it's too hot in there because of the sun.

I will hold you to your promise of sun by the 24th!!

It sounds like your summer (so far) is following on from our summer this year, more rain than we have had in years. And after all that snow that you had too. The earth is certainly going through some changes.

Love Love Love the bag! Gorgeous fabrics! Please count me in for the giveaway. We've had sooooo much rain here too this spring/summer. Rainy days seem so gray and gloomy. When I'm not at work, I just putter around the house or watch a movie on TV. I avoid driving in the rain. Hugs
