Kit, waiting for her "friend" to arrive. . .

I couldn't figure out why Kit had taken to sleeping
on the laundry basket stool I keep under the washing line. . .

but cats don't normally miss a trick. . .

and eventually her "friend" flew in.

But by then Kit was long gone because she had other prey. . .

which she left for me to find on the front porch!

Cats are certainly very clever things aren't they? Hattie our cat sits on the flat roof hiding under the climbing rose waiting for the birds to land in the rose but I think they are just as clever as she is! Have a great day.

Aaaahh, what a cutie :o)
When cats sit like that, my children have always said they look like the 'roast chickens' that are on Tom and Jerry cartoons :o)

That's a cute little baby pigeon too...see his chick fluff still round his head?

You've got one tough kitty there going for that weasel..an unusual pressie though Elaine :o) (well, or maybe not for you?)

Have a lovely day my dear, and take care.

What a thoughtful Kitty ;-)

Glad I'm not the only one who has something to sit the washing basket on so I don't have to bend down too far!

The cats got the weasel eh? I'm sure if we had any around here Sid would have had one too!

Eeeeek!! It looks like it is still alive! Bless Kits heart, she thought she was bringing you dinner. - That dove is huge, no wonder Kit likes to sit and 'wait' for her 'friend'. xo

Oh, the poor little weasel....as I was scrolling down to read your post I thought to myself "what is it". I don't believe I've ever seen a weasel before, it's sooo cute! But then I suppose it's another one of those nuisance creatures like a mouse...they have a cute little face, and I hate trapping them, but they are not allowed to live in my house. Good thing you have Kit around to keep things under control.

Such cruel creatures cats, mine bring me all sorts of lovely wildlife, some of it dead, some of it dying and some of it very much alive that I try to rescue....not always successfully.

It's just their way of filling the larder back up in gratitude for you feeding them, but I would much rather just buy some more 'Whiskas' :-(

Wow, Kit is fast! Poor weasel...never have seen one in all my born days...looks like Kit was gentle...maybe she just scared it to death! haahaa.
Miss Kitton was afraid of the great outdoors and when a mouse was in the house she and her sister Miss Indy just stared at it!
Love to Kit♥ I love that Grand Dame!

I am sure you have been given many presents by Kit.... perhaps some you could do without?!!
My sisters cat is scared of everything and has hardly any teeth left, so gets teased by all the furry and feathered visitors to her garden!

I'm always sad when Moesj catches a mouse or little bird ... but I know cats do that.
I didn't know they catch weasels
too !
Nice week,
