I just thought I'd show you this fabulous,
original Christmas Edition
1925 Radio Times that I've listed on
tedandbunny ebay this week!
It's got the most wonderful advertisements,
articles and stories. . .
and of course,
being the "Official Organ of the B.B.C"
all of the wireless programme broadcasts
for the family to gather round and "listen in"!
A nostalgic trip back to a gentler age. . .
all it needs now is a vintage
hand-embroidered Crinoline Lady
Radio Times cover!

My mother was born December 1927, and although this issue is earlier, she would still love this!
Will go now and place a bid :)
Love, Abby xx

Amazing that it has survived in such great condition. M x
So very cool! There was such style back then.

Andi said "I bet the two Ronnies are billed" - dunno about that, but I bet Bruce Forsyth's in there somewhere!
Great find - wherever did you get that from?
Hope it does well for you :o)
Fantastic! I have seen a few Radio Times embroidered covers - amazing that the magazine was valued enough to have it's own special cover!
that is adorable.
I would love it
Lovely artwork on the front cover, it's always fun to read through how things used to be done ~ pure bliss! x
What a find! I found myself clicking to read the adverts. Wonderful stuff.
Nostalgia at its best...what a great find.

how marvelous... My Granma had a copy and I loved sitting with her to look at it. Love Helen and her Darcy and Bingley xx
Lovely treasure, Elaine, and in such a good condition !
We're enjoying wonderful weather here, 17° !
Nice weekend,
Sylvia
Have you noticed that the granny in the chair is wearing a cardi and what appear to be fingerless gloves? I bet she is wearing a vest as well . . .

I love old publications like that. The adverts are always the most intriguing, like ads for cigarettes saying how good they are for throat infections!
Hi Elaine,
Thankyou for your recent kind comments. Love your Radio Times, a glorious piece of nostalgia. Great find!
I didn't know the B.B.C. had an official organ... (I can only humbly apologise for the fact I couldn't click away from your post not having written that.) Your proposal sounds so lovely! Em x
Oh my gosh, Elaine! What a wonderful surprise that wonderful kitten was on Faded's blog! Oh I want to just go over there and steal her away. I think I might have to be on the hunt for another torti-tude girl! I love that she sleeps in a safe little suitcase! Thanks so much for the treat to brighten the end of my weird full moon day!
