fungi, cobwebs, lichen, and oak trees losing their leaves. . .
all signs that despite the unseasonable warmth,
November is still doing what it has always done
creating a wonderful Autumnal dampness
that allows the woodland to flourish
and us to become reflective before the onset of winter

Fabulous photos - especially that top one......
They are great. Did you hear the radio programme about Waxtips this morning? (Sunday). They have some lovely colours and can often be found in churchyards. I am going to look for some. Never heard of them before, but they sound absolutely fascinating. Keep foraging! Ann x
Me again! Sorry, its Waxcap fungi. The programme was on at 6.35 this morning and called Waxcap Grasslands. You can listen on the iPlayer. Ann x

Helloooooo, hope you're well. I love your photographs especially the first one, it's perfect for framing. x
Your photos are wonderful, capturing the texture of the barks and fungi and completely summing up this time of year.
Cheap2Chic is so right that top photo would make a wonderful framed picture.

Stunning photos of things one could so easily walk past and miss.
Your photographs are stunning as usual, and as you say so typical of our normal Novembers!
It has certainly turned 'damp' here at the moment and has been bitterly cold today. I think its time the cosy rugs came out and the hot water bottles got an overhaul!
Is it just me?...is my mind in the gutter?? but those photos are some how humanly anatomically suggestive.
I think I'd better take a nap...my mind is playing tricks! hahahaha
Seriously, those photos are amazing, Elaine.
Great blog! Why not come along and post this at Haynet an Equine Social Blogging Network -http://hay-net.co.uk/ Hope to see you there!
Great photo's Elaine....
I do love your pictures, but not so keen on the dampness - it gets into my poor old bones!
