Saturday, December 10

it came. . .and it went!

thankyou for your sweet comments on my last post.

Yes you're all quite right, it was the humdrum of everydayness, the rainy (very) muddy days and November-into-December greyness that just got to me, but I'm pleased to report the crisp frosty landscape this morning with pink-edged sky was exhilarating, and as soon as the ice cleared I took dear Bruce for a wonderful wintery ride blessed by sunshine and birdsong, and told him all the things that were on my mind.

By the time we arrived back home any unwanted thoughts had disappeared into the fresh air (Bruce said if it didn't involve food it wasn't really worth talking about) and I'm back to "normal". . .albeit aided and abetted this evening by a glass of chammy- purely medicinal of course!

xx

I am sorry that I missed your 'boring' post...I have days and times that I feel the very same way. Then I remember the 'life of the party me' and say...Yikes, better to be safe than sorry! Hahahaha! Glad you're feeling better my friend! xo

Glad your feeling better and back to normal. Don't worry we all have moments like these, I certainly have my fair share! Can I come and join you please in a glass of the old bubbly...? Love a wee dram of the old Bolly myself.

Good to read that you're feeling more chipper! I should think that a ride with Bruce would blow all boring cobwebs away. Wonder if you'll be visiting Shepton Flea on Sunday - if so please stop by and say hello! ( We are inside the Showerings Pavillion.)

Good old Bruce - I bet his ears flicked backwards and forwards whilst he listened.

I am very sorry to say I had missed your last post, but when I saw the title of this one I had to read on. I am so glad you are feeling a bit more your usual sunny self. It is so unlike you to be negative. I must say the dismal weather does that to me too though. Roll on the the crisp real winter weather so that the festive spirit(any kind you like) can work its magic on us all!

So glad you are doing better. There's nothing worse than some winter blahs. It happens to the best of us. Did Bruce suggest some chocolate? That, paired with the chammy should do wonders :) Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

I am so very happy to see you are feeling joyful again. I adore the poetry of winter but the grey skies and heavy rain can dampen my spirits too.

Happy week to you,

Stephanie
