unashamedly, it's mossy love for me

It doesn't matter how many paint effects we discover

with scumble glazes and rubbing back and shabby chic treatments

or how many paint colours Annie Sloan, Farrow & Ball and Fired Earth
try to tempt us into buying

the thing that really

gets me

is Mossy Love

provided completely free of charge

by Mother Nature herself.

Thank you for my damp, moss covered garden

it might not always be bright and cheery with colourful blooms

but its truly mossylicious and I just love it!

Beautiful. Your garden looks magical. I'm quite partial to a little moss & lichen myself - hey, great Blog name " Moss & Lichen " !

I love it....moss, lichen, ferns, anything that shows how quickly nature can claim back anything we put in her way.

Gorgeous colours, textures and smells. Nature in the raw...beautiful.

I like moss. Makes the garden look settled and mysterious. A friend's husband cleans off all the moss in his garden. I told him, there I am painting my garden with yogurt to encourage moss and he's getting rid of his. It takes all sorts. xx

Those are gorgeous pictures....I love the look of all of it. There is a thing on Pinterest on how to "paint" something so that moss will grow how you want it to. I want to try that.

Moss is my favourite shades of green. Or should I say shades? I love every hue of it from the acid yellow green through to dark rich moss. I've just been taking photos of moss on walks and steps for an article on colour and texture. I want your gnome, or is he a leprechan?
